SFPL Pen Meet, Oct 2015

I don’t always post about pen meets even if we hold them every month, but this time I managed to have a bit of time to go around and peek at what people are doing, and take lots of photos. The meet was held on Saturday, 17 October, at the Tea Party Cafe, which seems to have become our usual pen meeting place. It was sponsored by Fook Hing Trading Co., who contributed both refreshments and sponsored items for a…

SFPL Pen Meet Sep 2015, Hosted by Pilot Pen Singapore

Pilot Pen Singapore hosted a fountain pen meet for Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers (SFPL) yesterday at Milagro Spanish Restaurant, Orchard Central. Due to the overwhelming turnout, we admins of the Facebook group had to do some attendance control before the event so that the venue wouldn’t be bursting at the seams! The total turnout was 73 pax or so. The event started off with a speech by Mr Benjamin Teh, General Manager of Pilot Pen Singapore. During the speech, he…

SFPL Pen Meet, June 2015

Time flies and we have had another pen meet yesterday. Even during the pen meet, time flew and in the blink of an eye, it was time to go home. Good times pass really quickly but memories are well-kept in photographs: We had Fook Hing Trading Co sponsor our event, and they provided us with Franklin Christoph products. What wonderful products they are! So far, I have been impressed with Franklin Christoph products especially the Penvelope 6 that I’ve made my…

SFPL Pen Meet, May 2015

I’ve been rather busy and still ill, so I’m going to just put up a short post! The Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers have just had a pen meet on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The turnout had been excellent, and there has been a lucky draw as well! Everyone was eyeing the prizes as they are Montblanc products sponsored by Fook Hing Trading Co. The meet was held at the Tea Party Cafe again, which seems to be our usual haunt…

SFPL Pen Meet Feb’15 … And A Wahl-Eversharp Giveaway For You!

Time flies and on February 28, 2015, the Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers (SFPL) Facebook group was due for yet another pen meet, for the month of February. This time, it was held at the Tea Party Cafe which has been volunteered by one of our members, and what a nice cafe it was! We had a turnout of about 50+ and although the turnout number is around the same for the last 2 months, I am still pretty amazed, as our pen…

SFPL Pen Meet, Jan’15

Time flies and it was time for yet another pen meet, this time the first one of the year Twenty Fifteen! We the Singapore Fountain Pens Lovers Facebook group administrators got together to organize this pen meet, and I grabbed the chance to do some filming on site. The pen meet was located at a very beautiful condominium, so it seemed to make everyone really happy! I’ll show you the pictures from now, and do watch out for the video at…

SFPL Pen Meet, Dec 2014

SFPL stands for the “Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers”, and we are really a bunch of fun and cool fountain pen enthusiasts indeed! If you had been following my Twitter account, you may have noticed that I posted a tweet about the pen meet that was going to happen on 7 December 2014. Well, the meet turned out awesome, and we had so many more people than expected! Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure: When we had to confirm…

SFPL Ink Reflections and Pen Meet, Oct 2014

For those who don’t know SFPL, it’s an acronym for “Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers” and it is the Facebook group of fountain pen enthusiasts in Singapore. Clearly, I am part of it and even an administrator there, and recently I had done up some hyperactive chat sessions tagged #PenTalkFriday to get the group a little more involved (although it’s not like people aren’t already posting and commenting a lot around there already!). Soothing inks In my first #PenTalkFriday session, I…

When Fountain Pen Lovers have too much free time…

One evening after getting back home and feeling bored, I visited the Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers Facebook group and found a bunch of folks as bored as I was! A thread full of brand wordplay! I love wordplay so I joined in the fun too. Note 1: This post is not meant to ridicule anything, just having fun, alright? FUN. Not suitable for those who don’t have a sense of humour. Note 2: Some of the language inside, especially sentence…

Singapore Fountain Pen Meet 26/10/12

Finally, I’m blogging about a really cool day – the day of a really cool fountain pen meet in Singapore! It was held yesterday at the McDonalds’ at King Albert Park. We had about 20 people turning up and it was considered a good number already, considering that the number of -enthusiastic- and -active- fountain pen enthusiasts in our tiny island city is pretty small! There are also many people who really wanted to come but could not make it,…
