Join me in The Great Pen Exchange

See that little note stuck to the header of my blog? Click on that and check out my new project, The Great Pen Exchange! It’s basically a trading activity where I hope to exchange one fountain pen for another, to be able to try out a number of pens, to get to know more people, and to see how far these exchanges can take me. I’ve only just started today, but all details and updates can be found here: http://onfountainpens.com/the-great-pen-exchange/

OFP joins InCoWriMo 2014

Ever since discovering it last year and totally missing it, I’ve been waiting expectantly for the next one – that’s coming up this February! InCoWriMo is a condensed form of “International Correspondance Writing Month”. It’s a great cause to encourage everyone to write more! Write a letter, postcard, or note to someone (make sure the person receives it!) every day for the month of February. I’ve pledged my commitment to participate in InCoWriMo this year: Adding your personal touch For…

When Fountain Pen Lovers have too much free time…

One evening after getting back home and feeling bored, I visited the Singapore Fountain Pen Lovers Facebook group and found a bunch of folks as bored as I was! A thread full of brand wordplay! I love wordplay so I joined in the fun too. Note 1: This post is not meant to ridicule anything, just having fun, alright? FUN. Not suitable for those who don’t have a sense of humour. Note 2: Some of the language inside, especially sentence…

Upgraded to a new site

I’ve been editing my site layout for so long that I totally forgot to put up an announcement here about this new site! Well, this new site was “opened” about a month ago in the final week of May, but I put up my first post here on 1 June. That’s the one about the Sheaffer Centennial which I attended in Singapore. I also announced my site on my on Google Plus and Twitter on 10 June, and on my Facebook Page on…

Hiatus

Dear beloved readers of my blog, As I am getting pretty busy in life at the moment, I regret to say that I might be on and off my blog for long periods of time over the next two weeks or so. So, no fortnightly inkings next fortnight, no reviews for the moment until I get everything else in life sorted out. I might put up a quick post once in a while to reassure you that I am still…

EDIT: *new* Winner of the Daycraft Signature Wine Journal giveaway! (and other things)

Edit: as the previous winner of the Wine Journal did not reply to my email, I have picked a new winner! So… *drumroll* Congratulations to Aditya M. Alan Portman for winning the Daycraft Signature Wine Journal! I have sent you an email regarding the details of how you can get it. Please let me know your mailing address and which comment on that post was yours, so that I can verify that the entry is valid. If I receive no reply…

Tumblr blog and other things

So what have I been up to over the weekend? Besides checking out Arab Street which I regrettably haven’t been to in all my 24 years in Singapore, I was thinking about some improvements to be made to my blog, and also starting a way to track my own writing, calligraphy and designing explorations. For my blog, a new page is coming out, which will contain some (hopefully) useful information about all things related to stationery. You will see what…

What I look for in a…

… man? Sorry to disappoint you, but nah, today I will not be talking about dating, romance, or living happily ever after. Today, I launch a new label on my blog, called “Two Drops”. It will consist of my humble two cents’ (drops) on things in general, but of course related to stationery and writing. Not fortnightly inkings, nor a review, but just some scribblings of the things I think about. Today, in particular, I will talk about what I…

New label: Sunday Inkings

Dear Readers, I have just decided to create a new label for this blog, which is going to be something like a “resource centre” of the blog. I have an active Twitter account and through the wide variety of pen people that I follow, I have access to a virtually non-exhaustive source of information. I only have time to read some which catch my interest, of course. And usually they turn out to be pretty neat stuff. So I will…
